At the start of the level you can do one of two things. You can either avoid spreading the Jam for as long as you can so that all the Jelly Fishes you make dive at Candy Ice Cubes instead of spreading the Jam.

Or you can focus on spreading the Jam across the upper half of the playing field as quickly as you can so that all the Jelly Fishes you create after you’ve spread the Jam dive at Candy Ice Cubes at the bottom half.

With candies of five colors on the playing field you shouldn’t have too many problems making special candies. Still, take your time and don’t miss out on opportunities to make special candies. Consider holding on to special candies until you can combine them because of the combination’s enhanced effect.

The combination you should make as often as you can is the Jelly Fish + horizontal Striped candy combination because when the Jelly Fishes dive at one of the bottom rows they will hit multiple Candy Ice Cubes in one go.

There are two horizontal Striped candies trapped in the Candy Ice Cubes (highlighted in red, image below). Try to activate them separately so that they hit the Candy Ice Cubes on that row twice instead of once. This will help quite a bit.
