Fire Arrows Datapack

Wanna turn up the heat in combat, or maybe give that enchanted bow a new spark? Then Fire Arrows Datapack is the hot new thing for you!

Start fires from afar, just like the vikings of old! With this datapack, any arrows that are on fire (such as those shot from a bow enchanted with Flame or those shot through lava) will set fire to the block they land on! Relish in your newfound ability to spread glorious red-orange chaos with nothing more than a shot from your bow!

How it works:

In short, this datapack checks for any arrow entities that are considered as being both stuck in a block and on fire, and sets the block that they are in (which in most cases is the block directly adjacent to the one the arrow is stuck in) to a fire block. There are some further checks to ensure that the arrow does not delete any partial blocks (such as an enchanting table or stone slab) by turning them into a fire block, and a simple scoreboard setup to ensure that once an arrow sets fire to a block, it is considered "expended" until it dislodges from that block and falls into a new one. Otherwise, a player would not be able to put out the fire block set by the arrow until they picked up the arrow.
