Lizardification
Small mod that features a possibility to add lizard-like snout and tail to your player model.
That can look something like this:
In order to do that, you will have to add textures for those parts to your skin layout. Their positioning looks like following:
You can find file with this layout within the modfile itself, named custompart_skin_layout.png. Use it for the reference when adding part textures to your own skin texture.
Black areas represent parts reserved for your normal skin.
For Snout/Nub:
- Lime = Front
- Yellow = Top
- Cyan = Bottom (doesn't matter for Nub)
- Purple = Sides
For Tail:
- Lime = Top side
- Yellow = Tail Tips (one is hidden usually but I don't know which one)
- Cyan = Underneath of the tail
- Purple = Sides
The second step you'll need to take is to edit the mod's config file on your client. You can locate it in config folder within your Minecraft directory, under the name lizardification-client.toml. It is very simple:
Set allowModelForSelf to true in order for the parts you added textures for to actually render. Your decision will be synced to server so that those parts will also be rendered from other players' perspective, unless they disabled allowModelForOthers in their own config files for whatever reason. Because of such synchronization being possible, the mod cannot be client-only - it needs to be installed on server and all clients that visit that server in order to work.
