Magic Dust Mod
This mod adds magic to your Minecraft world, using only a datapack. As someone that has loved the minecraft magic mods that have been going on for years, and noticing how few there were for Minecraft 1.13.2, I took it upon myself to help with that issue.
This magic is cast by throwing ingredients in various numbers onto the ground, and will fit into one of three categories.
These are items created by spells, with various effects whilst holding them. Examples of this are a feather that makes you fall much slower, and a powerful hammer that throws mobs backwards.
These summon a creature into the world. Some are useful for harvesting their drops, like wither skeletons. Some are for causing mischief like, swarms of silverfish. Thrown in there is even an enhanced envoker to act as a sort-of mini-boss.
Spells
These are assorted magical effects that can be split into three sub categories.
- General spells: Changing the time, weather, or launching yourself into the sky.
- Wards: Protects or enhances you for the duration.
- Curses: Curse a nearby player with a nasty status effect.
A list of all magic and how to do it is included on a PDF with the download. It is recommended to read that and the instructions file before playing. This mod is used on my server, so should work on anyone else's too with no problems.
Servers, Modpacks, Copies/Reuploads, Code Using
Credits
To start with, I should give credit to "oyo321". Their flight ring mod was what got me interested in making a datapack, and a lot of my code was recycled and re-engineered from that. You can find it here: https://www.planetminecraft.com/mod/flight-ring/.
Servers
If you want to use this on a private server, feel free to. If you want to use it on a public server, a sign for credit at spawn would be appreciated, but is not mandatory. If you make any money from your server, then you aren't allowed to use this datapack on it.
Modpacks
This can be used in a modpack, so long as that pack has at least five other mods in it, and you give credit to their creators. If you want to make money from anything related to that modpack, then you aren't allowed to use it.
Copies/Reuploads
No copying or reuploading this mod anywhere, whether it's the original or an altered version.

Part of the cycle of programming is learning from others. If whilst using this mod you see anything that interests you, feel free to look through the code to find out how I made it happen. If you want to use that code in your own datapack then go for it.
