BelAZ-540 Soviet Dump truck | Bedrock Edition
BelAZ-540 is a Soviet mining dump truck, which was developed by the in-house design service of the Belarusian Automobile Plant, which appeared in 1960. She was tasked with improving the MAZ-525 serial dump truck, the production of which had been transferred to Zhodino two years earlier. However, the chief designer, Zalia Lvovich Sirotkin, offered his department to make a completely new car – from the hood to the wheels. The idea was received with enthusiasm. We worked on the project for 10-11 hours, and worked at home. At the same time, no one paid overtime – a new dump truck was created on an initiative basis.
