The Mojangles font (yes, that's its name) is the font Minecraft uses.
You might want to use this font outside of Minecraft, but most programs don't support a bunch of images and a default.json file.
That's what this program is for. It, fully automatically, converts the font from a bunch of images into an OpenType font file. All you have to do is open makefont.html in your browser* and choose the latest Minecraft .jar file to get the latest font! Should work for the forseeable future unless Mojang changes the way they store fonts.
* If your browser is Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge, this may not work due to the fact that there are many functions they don't support.

- 1.12 has 248 glyphs
- 1.13 has 642 glyphs
- 1.14 has 872 glyphs
- 1.15 has 1168 glyphs
- 1.16 has 2359 glyphs
- This list was made when 1.16 was the latest version, but I bet there'll be more glyphs in the future.
