Native Lands [128x]

Using new-found texturing methods and styles, I have started progress on a 128x128 pack. This pack is focused on the smooth, simplistic side of nature, and brings forth a clean and crisp texture. I somewhat agree with others that HD photo-realistic packs look wrong in Minecraft, which is why the style of HD pack I bring you is smooth and fitting into the game, textures made to look right in your builds, not just in Photoshop. I plan to continue this, and just so I don't get side tracked and end up abandoning this project, I am opening it up for critique and encouragement, and anything of the sort, so I don't just forget this and move on from what will become a style of HD pack I actually like. I will not have any downloads right now, and I don't expect any in the too near future, but I will get this pack far enough to have a development version available. Hopefully by that point, I will be able to fix any problems and bring my textures to their highest potential for everyone to enjoy. With that said, this pack is shown to the public for any comments, compliments, critiques, and complaints that you can think of. So if you could, please leave any feedback on the pack to help me improve my textures along the way while I work to complete it!

A little information on how the name came, while I think of it. I have tried to come up with some names for a lot of packs, and I think I'm satisfied when I release them, but then after posting the thread, I always seem to spot a pack right next to mine with a catchier name, and I don't really like the sound of mine anymore. In this case, I took some inspiration from some other names to get me on the right track to begin with. One name that I liked the sound of was SycloneSJS' "Chroma Hills", and to use it as inspiration, rather than just copying, I just used the idea of having a descriptive word, followed by a picturesque natural sight. I tried to think of some different words when the combination of such from the Canadian National Anthem occured to me, in the verse "our home and native lands". I saw the potential immediately, and after some final consideration, I decided to make it the pack's official name.
