#0006 Mega Charizard Y
In the sixth and seventh generations and only in fights, Charizard can mega-evolve to Mega-Charizard X or Mega-Charizard Y.
By equipping Charizard with a Charizardite X, it will be able to mega-evolve to Mega-Charizard X. Unlike Mega-Charizard Y, Mega-Charizard X changes its type when it mega-evolves. It changes from fire/flying type to fire/dragon type. Its body becomes black and blue, and its tail and mouth flames, more scorching than ever, burn with a bluish hue. Its weight and its attack, defense and special attack characteristics increase, and its ability changes to hard claw.
Mega-Charizard Y is the result of Charizard's mega-evolution by equipping it with a Charizardite Y. When it becomes Mega-Charizard Y, this Pokémon's pointed horns and long tail give it an imposing appearance, and its wings become larger than ever. Mega-Charizard Y is unrivaled when it comes to demonstrating flying prowess, as it can reach incredible heights. Its weight and its attack, special attack and special defense characteristics are increased. Its ability becomes drought, but it retains its fire/flying type.
When mega-evolving, their respective cries change.
