1.14 Self-Contained Village
Ever since the Village & Pillage update last year, I wanted to take advantage of its major improvements (like not having to build villages with hundreds of doors, or not having to produce hundreds of carrots myself just because no damn farmers would spawn).
What I built here is a completely self-contained (and therefore mob-safe) unit that provides beds for 14 villagers in its current form. But you don't have to abduct an entire village to fill this new one. In fact, ideally, you just kidnap two nitwits, because that way you can control all of your villagers' professions through the specific blocks placed in this building. As it stands, this build features two composters (for two farmers) plus exactly one of every other type of profession block. But as long as the villagers have physical access to their respective profession blocks (so they can "interact" with them during the day), you can obviously change that setup to your liking. You could even change the whole look to accommodate your taste, your supply of building material, or the biome you're going to build this in. So go nuts.
