The TVT was an experimental project of a missile launch platform on the chassis of the Leopard 1. The vehicle was built in 1995 as a joint development of France, Great Britain and Germany. The launch platform for anti-tank guided missiles should be sufficiently mobile on the battlefield and at the same time armored.
With this platform, it should be possible to reconnoiter the battlefield better with the articulated arm elevation and to fight enemy vehicles over longer distances without exposing your own crew to enemy fire. The mast can be extended to a height of 12.5m within 30 seconds. In the fighting room there are monitors through which the arm is controlled; At the top of the platform there are launch tubes for a total of 8 rockets
The total weight of the TVT is 41.5t.
Due to political developments, the project was no longer put into series production.
