Background story

When the human race first encountered the hostile "Nerian" race, they nencountered ancient ruins dating back more then a million years back.
Humans studied these findings, using them to enhance their own technology, it was a golden age, a celebration for mankind.
yet, this was a short lived one...

Whenn an Archeologist discovered the land of Ereseth and opened the nsarcophagus of the so-called Old God, horror was released. Pandora's boxn had been opened.
The opening of the Sarcophagus resulted in a nrelease of a vile virus that quickly contaminated earth, causing people nto mutate into zombies, armless explosive abominations and so on, as if nthis wasn't enough, every ruin turned alive and started rampaging. Wholen spacecraft emerged from the sea, mountains shattered... Luckily, not so much longer a ghost city named "Ak'ar Major" emerged from the sea,n the remaining 200.000 survivors took shelter in this city. They used nthe alien defense mechanism to repel the invasion and they did well. nDespite they did a good thing repelling the aliens, the survivors were nterrified, Cultists starded spreading words that the aliens were nliberators, gods and out of fearn the surivors started fighting each other. it resulted in a split up nbetween the humans, forming 2 factions. one believed that the invaders nwhere liberators, gods which purged the earth of the evil, the other onen was a rebelion force, doing whatever they can against the alien force. nThere were many things the two didn't agree to, but what they both nacknowledged was that the foundings and the ruins were ancient, dating nback more then one million years back, and one certain day, their new forces would be sent out,

In another galaxy, the captain of the alien starship Osmodeus recieved the following message;
Report to Ak'ar 0523X, Osmodeus.

Then captain started to think it was a system failure, it is impossible nsince the outpost has been offline for over a million years.
Soldier! the captain exclaimed, Send the emperor a message requesting protocol 49X.
Sir, you.. wish to destroy a whole system? Much more important, you know that we weren't even allowed to get near that area!
Yes, that is why you have to warn the emperor, we may not have much time... They have opened the sarcophagus.
