Borg Cube - Star Trek

Borg Cube

Well, decided to plunge into building my own Borg Cube after being inspired by some of the other Star Trek models on this site. I was hoping to build a 1:1 scale model, but for some strange reason, Minecraft does not appreciate a 3,064 m2 (taking each block as a meter) model, even with the Cubic Mod :)

This one is scaled down to 200x200 blocks. I have completed my framework this evening and will start on internal structures over the next week.

I have a vision of how I would like my Cube to finish up after looking up the Borg and their Cubes online, so hope I can do it justice. You will be able to fully explore the structure, complete with regeneration stations, lighted panels, animation effects, sound effects and possibly, once I get my head around the coding, dozens of Borg wondering around the decks!

UPDATE: 13/10/2018

Well, after the 1.13 update, things have slowed down considerably! Didn't realise how much I would miss MCEdit......... LOL!

Have started putting some structure to the framework now. Eight of the 40 levels have been started, as well as some of the internal and external structuring. A central 'power core' room was added as a starting point, and although remains in place at present, will be overhauled at a later date.

I have updated the pictures with some of the current build works........and sorry for the duplicate picture :)

This is a mammoth project, and until I replace MCEdit with something else, the build works are going to take considerable time to complete as I am building block-by-block and I have not even covered 1% of the internal structure.
