CS:GO Dust 2 Map, Bomb Plant & Defusal Scenario mini game

Hey guys, I am an avid minecraft and CS:GO player, one of the most well known maps in CS:GO is Dust 2, that is why I have set out to try and combine the minecraft lovin' with CS:GO competitive gameplay into a minigame exclusive to my server.  The map is not an exact copy of Dust 2, but the aim is that the general basis of the map has similarties and that minor tweaks to replace areas such as cars placed in the map, and parkour areas in boost spots that are not possible in minecraft and I present to you.  Dust 3, Minecraft Mode.  The current progress with the map is all in all 10% completed in my opinion as there has been a map created, and a gun plugin known as Crackshot for bukkit has been implemented. A bomb plant message / timer has been implemented with command blocks. 




So I would like to break down this minigame into 3 parts.

 i)   Map Creation
 ii)  Weapon Addition/Adjustment
 iii) Bomb plant/defusal
 iv) Teams
 v)  Shop Addition


i)   Map Creation

The initial Map design has been created, based on the popular call out zones in the dust 2 map, parkour areas have been added to add skill areas or perhaps challenges for a player to reach a vantage point in a particular 'boost' spot however with the initial thought in mind that a player cannot boost another player, therefore it is important to add an aspect of challenge, or practice to get to these places.

Minor tweaks to the area leading from Terrorist spawn to bombsite b on the upper level with regards to the crates and barrels, also a corner on the building.

Use of worldguard to prohibit entering certain regions within the map, such as parkour areas which may give the player access to walls and the rooftops of the entire map.

Times have been tested from running from both CT and T base to popular call out zones, such as from
CT/T to Long Doors
CT/T to Mid
CT/T to Short
CT/T to Tunnels to B

Currently bombsites will only allow for one bomb plant area in each bombsite, however it may be possible in the future that multiple locations will be available for a player to plant.

Additional changes to the maps scenery, perhaps building fronts such as inaccesible balconies, doors, flowerpots will be added, additional building to improve the general look and feel of the map.


 ii)  Weapon Addition/Adjustment

At present the crackshot plugin offers, a grenade, a flashbang grenade (which acts as a blind on anyone in the area, even if looking away), I have tweaked the configuration to add an AWP which has zoom capability, and does relevant damage to allow a user to have a Black Leather Helmet and Black Leather Chestplate renamed as Kevlar Helmet/Kevlar Vest to mirror damage levels of the AWP in CS:GO, also I have added a 'Karambit Knife' which is similar in the way that Knives work in CS:GO.

Grenades cannot be thrown as far as they can in CS:GO and are limited but still useable.

Dual Berettas are soon to be added aswell as nerfs to the current AK and addition of the a Famas.

Recoil/bullet spread/bullet spray etc in testing.  This is one of the most under developed areas as there are quite a few tests and balances that need to be put into play.


 iii) Bomb plant/defusal

We currently have a bomb plant spot on both A site and B site, B site currently prints a message on a 40 minute timer, where it then activates another message informing the terrorists have won.  Defusal still to be added, aswell as radius executions for anyone close to the bomb on explosion time.

Possible defusal kit to be added.

Sound functionality to inform the player when the bomb has been planted, when it explodes, etc.



 iv) Teams

Team based command block system to be implemented.



 v)  Shop Addition

Possible shop addition allowing a user to expend experience levels that they had earnt throught the minigame on a round to round basis on equipment similar to that of cs:go.  Not started yet.



If we can succesfully pull this off we may remake maps such as Inferno, Mirage, etc!
