Why did the map take so long? Well first of all I lose motivation on large projects if it feels like no progress is being made. I lost motivation during this map and took an 8 month break from Minecraft which is why this took about 2 years to make. The biggest reason why though is that I started this map all by hand, well sort of by hand. This map started out being built with wand and I made the whole map outline, ocean, and Hana no Pasu with wand. After I did all of that I found out about World Painter and started using that which made this go by so much faster. I quit working on the map and took the 8 month break when I was working on the rivers because I could find nothing helpful with doing them in World Painter and in game was boring and I was losing motivation. And just a reminder this map was a practice map for 2 other maps I want to make very badly.
