Far Far Away Castle (Shrek)

Far Far Away Castle is a fairytale castle introduced in the film Shrek 2 when Shrek and Fiona are invited to a Royal Ball at the castle. Much of the castle's surroundings were inspired by the Hollywood / Beverly Hills area of Los Angeles, CA. However, the castle itself seems clearly inspired by Chateau Challain, in France.

The entire castle, with the exception of the top most tower and the tower to the third of the right of it, are entirely of my creation. However, the two towers which I do not accredit to my own making, were greatly altered. Elements were moved, block types were changed, and they were cleaned up. So, they are almost my own, but I will not take full credit for them. That, I owe to ilikecutepeople, for his very interesting "Shrek's Far Far Away Kingdom" build. Cheers!

I wanted to develop my own interpretation of this castle in competition with the others that are out there. However, I felt that ilikecutepeople really mastered the form of the main tower which I believed could not be done much better.

I have completed almost all of the exterior, I'm working on the moat and surrounding landscape (it's A LOT). Additionally, the back and inside of the castle are under construction. Mostly finished, but still, quite a bit more to do.
