Fictional Japanese Battleship-Monitor - 富士山 (Fujiyama) - For _NamSek_
Final gift of the season, built for the great _NamSek_!
(Rebuilt from my earlier build, which was in turn heavily inspired by _NamSek_'s Super Destroyer build, which they also rebuilt here!) - REBUILD-CEPTION XD
AU profile - the 三霊山 (Sanreizan or Three Holy Mountains) class of bombardment vessels mated pairs of enlarged,- by a 2:1 scale to 1600mm (!),- Schwerer Gustav-style railway guns onto the hull and superstructure of the Number 13 class battleships.
The ships were assigned names by the Emperor before even being launched after a test firing of the German-exported guns during the winter of 1942. The immense flash and smoke of the guns gave the Emperor the impression of a volcanic eruption, hence why the lead ship of the class is named after Japan's most famous volcano and peak - Fujiyama, or Mount Fuji. Most Western literature therefore referred to the class as the Fujiyama-class in reference to this.
