HMAS Anzac FFH-150

[Built in Java 1.20.4]

Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to view this 3:2 scale recreation of Australia's first ANZAC-class frigate - HMAS Anzac (III)

Operated by both the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) and Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN), the ANZAC-class is derived from the German MEKO 200 Frigate platform designed by the Blohm + Voss shipyard. Throughout the course of their service with the RAN, the ANZAC-class have undergone significant upgrades and refits to make the class a highly capable and well armed general purpose frigate.

The Australian ANZACs have been highly modified since entering service in the 90s, with one main example being the integration of the Australian designed CEAFAR active phased array radar. Paired with the CEAMOUNT missile illuminator system, the CEAFAR upgrade provides the ANZACs with effective Anti-Ship Missile Defence capability, which has been critical in modernising the class.

HMAS Anzac entered service on the 18th of May 1996 and was decommissioned this year on the 18th of May 2024. Over her 28 years of service, Anzac played a crucial role in Australia's peacekeeping operations and national defence.

I hope you all enjoy exploring this recreation of the ship!
