HMS Acasta | FULL INTERIOR Original WW2 British Destroyer

The year before Britain's fall to Nazi Germany in 1951, the Royal Navy, in conjunction with the United States Navy, designed and built a class of six destroyers; these were named the Able-class. These six ships, Able, Ajax, Acasta, Achilles, Audacious, and Alexander, were immediately thrust into combat, intercepting air raids and disrupting German commerce. However, Germany's renewed blitzkrieg attack at Great Britain, accompanied by air support, destroyed Alexander and Achilles in port as well as crippling the Royal Navy as a whole. Audacious was sunk mere days later, followed shortly by Able, and finally Ajax two months later.

HMS Acasta (hull number H08) was the last of the Able-class vessels as well as the last vessel of the Royal Navy itself after the fall of Great Britain. It engaged in a ten-month-long war of attrition on the entirety of Nazi Germany; terrorizing convoys, sinking destroyers, and mowing down aircraft. By 1952, Nazi Germany was effectively at war with the United States, Russia, Japan, Australia, and the HMS Acasta.

During these ten months, Acasta racked an impressive record; sinking five destroyers, destroying three shore batteries, crippling two naval bases, and foundering over a hundred merchant ships. However, the Acasta's luck would not last forever. The German government, tired of the Brit's antics, sent nearly the entirety of their fleet to hunt the Acasta down, and, after a valiant struggle, Acasta slipped below the waves taking with it two hundred and thirty of its two hundred and ninety-six crew.
