Scale Model of IJN Yamato, in her final (1945) configuration.

Model used for videos on personal channel.
IJN Yamato, the lead ship of her class, the largest Battleships ever constructed, served for the Imperial Japanese Navy between 1941 and 1945.
In 1944 and 1945 her secondary armament was refitted to accommodate an improved AA complement, the model is her final form.
Yamato served a relatively uneventful career, until she was sunk during 'Operation Ten-Go', where she was struck by several bombs and torpedoes from US carrier based aircraft.
As she was listing, one of her bow magazines detonated and she capsized more rapidly, taking with her over 3,000 sailors.
Today she is still considered one of the most impressive naval vessels.
It'd be a shame to let these impressive vessels get lost in history, hopefully my work can get people interested in the real things!
