México-Tenochtitlán. Complete Aztec city

I recreated the entire city of Tenochtitlán. It is re-imagined and rescaled, but includes (I hope) all the necessary parts, such as the sacred precinct, Tlatelolco, palaces, zoological garden, etc. And many, many canals, of course!

I'm not a historian or archaeologist, I've never been to the actual Mexico City, nor can I read Spanish (or Nahuatl!). The city plan and building designs are based on my limited research, but I tried to be as accurate as possible.

The houses and temples don't have interiors. Building them would give me too much work. Also, I know too little about what the interiors of temples or palaces looked like.

If you are here, you probably already know what Tenochtitlan was. The capital of the Aztec Empire, the seat of King Moctezuma II, is certainly worth recreating. In its golden days, Tenochtitlan was one of the largest and most beautiful (according to some Spanish conquerors) cities in the world. And yet it was built entirely on the waters of Lake Texcoco! The lost beauty, creativity and oddness of this Aztec city motivated me to build it in the game.
