Modern Mansion
My modern mansion. Builded on 3-4 hours without mod tools.
Material used:
- Snow (Walls, Pilairs, Roof)
- Black Stained Clay (Walls, Pilairs, roof)
- Black Stained Glass (Few Outside Windows)
- Black Stained Glasspanels (Inside Windows, Some of the outside windows)
- Spruce Wood Planks & Slabs (Floor & Stairs)
- Sandstone (Fireplace, Pool area)
- Sand, Grass & Green wool (Landscape)
- Diorite, Snow (Parkaway)
I started the project with exterior. First was the Left wall, then entrance/front door. I wasn't planning the door location at there, i was planning it to be just side entrance. Mansion was started to get shape and i decided to make the front door as main door. After main door, i build wall next to dining room and stairs. Before i finished the wall, i wanted to make stair fit, so i made the before the wall. After stairs, it time to make roof and last a.k.a backyard's wall. I had problem, whole house looked modern and shaped but the last wall full white and it didn't have much of the modern shape. I was wondering what will do with it, so i decided to make balcony for second floor. After few attempts to make pilairs for balcony, i gave up and made it as a room.
Mansion was ready and i started landscaping. I had small idea of small pool in backyard, but that was pretty much it. After i made the road as straight, i thought it was too boring or didn't fit and made it curve on it. Fitted perfectly. After road it was time to make pool area. Few tall but thin trees round it and it fitted perfectly.
Front yard looked empty so i had idea, of making small bond on it. First version on the bond were, smaller and full grass and no plants. It didn't fit at all, i made it bigger. Size were good but still missed something. Added some sand to make some details on it, but rounded it straight and fit perfectly. Added normal oak tree and sugar cane. After first bond, made another to mansions right side. almost identical for first one, but this time tree wasn't oak, it was dark oak. After second bond, made few dark oaks on mansions left side and put some stripes on the grass with green wool.
Now, exterior was done. started to do some interior for first floor. Dig the grass off and change it to spruce wood, mostly planks. after main floor was done, i focused on kitchen and dining room. Kitchen was pretty easy, cauldron as a sink, Iron block and iron door as fridge, birch planks on kitchen tables. Doors for them were made with using sign (empty), Item frame and black carpet. Table was made from birch wood slabs, chairs are made with using dark oak wood slabs, oak doors and item frames. Lamp was made with iron bar and beacon. Made few couch and armchair with coffee table using nether brick stairs & Slabs, item frames and paintings.
