New Lowell City

I have been somewhat inspired/in awe of some of the buildings people create. In particular, Antonove has a wonderful city that was an absolute joy to explore. I've downloaded several buildings, but one thing always stood out as 'off' to me--elevator shafts without elevators (yes, I know we can't make 'real' elevators in stock). No stairwells, no real 'city' feel of haphazard construction over the years, the mix of important with the eye candy.

So I set out to make something more intricate, more city in feeling than I've seen elsewhere. It's still far, far from done. And I'm amazed at how long these things take to setup properly. It has finally reached a point where I feel it has some character, despite being woefully unfinished. I will make every attempt to complete the building as it has some features I've always felt was missing. The AC system, a wet wall, an attempt at diverse storefronts, a dance floor... I should note on the dance floor that I don't listen to the Minecraft sounds, so I don't always think about that part.

More updates as it comes along. Between work, social obligations, a cat who stares at me... well, I'll do my best.

I'm using the Soartex texture pack, and it's quickly become a favorite. To see this building best, I recommend this pack.
