DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

Pythenia Lands is a huge custom terrain survival map for free play. I intended it to be played in single or multiplayer, in survival or in creative. It can be also used to showcase your projects, to build towns, and a lot more.

The world is still a WIP, villages, ruins and secret places will be built, if it gets enough feedback from the comunity.

From an architectural point of view, the world is based on a different concept than we would think of a survival world. I introduced this concept in 2012 with a map named "Arugenia Lands". The concept is based on a multiple layered world: the caves, underworld over the caves and the overworld over the underworld. Those layers connect with eachother trough holes in the ground. The underworld and the overworld both have rivers, forests, lakes and grass. The underlayer, though, containing almost everywhere a dark atmosphere generates hostile mobs (if not set on peaceful) which creates a challenge to the players to go mine under it (in the cave layer). The overworld is a more peaceful world having a good area of it covered in extremely dense jungle, large savannah, rivers and lakes.

I would suggest using PleadiaCraft texturepack, since it is also made by me, but this is optional.
