Rose Red Mansion Mini (Stephen King)

Rose Red is a fictional mansion, built at the top of Spring Street, in the center of Seattle, Washington. Said to be built atop an Indian burial ground, the mansion quickly began to exhibit manifestations of ghosts and trap all those who died in the house.

The mansion was the setting for both the Diary of Ellen Rimbauer (2003) and the Rose Red miniseries (2002) which filmed at Thornewood Castle, in Tacoma, WA. Thornewood Castle, the mansion used as Rose Red, was built from 1907 to 1911 by architect Kirtland Cutter in the Tudor Gothic style for the wealthy banker Chester Thorne. The building's bricks were sourced from a dismantled manor in England.

I built this mansion at a "Minecraft" scale, meaning that it is not oversized, but simply a comfortable scale (the floor to ceiling heights are 3 blocks). The exterior is mostly done, with the exception of the landscaping, that's in progress. All interior rooms fit inside the exterior structure. This is the case with all of my creations.
