How long did creating this map take?
That's actually not an easy question to answer. The map itself took me less than 50 hours, however I only started working on the Minecraft Map after abandoning a very similar project for a different game - so I had already finished tools, extracted + processed data, and figured out an efficient workflow. If we add all of this up, we're probably closer to 10x of that, distributed over many months.
Now that you've done Skellige, can you also do Velen/Kaer Morhen/etc.?
Unlikely. While it would probably take less time, we're still talking about dozens and dozens of hours here. Besides, Skellige already is the best-suited level for this kind of thing. :)
Would it be possible for you to add all the buildings to the map?
Yes. It would also take me years.
What tools did you use?
WolvenKit to find and extract useful data, ImageMagick (and way too many custom python scripts) to refine and process it, and finally WorldPainter for map generation.
What Shader Pack were you using for the screenshots?
Complementary Shaders, with some custom settings such as reduced vibrancy.
