Spaceship - Avali Papillon
Light Battle Cruiser: Avali Papillon
This Spaceship is loosely inspired by the Avali-Spaceship-Mod from Starbound:
I tried to copy the wing shape as closely as I could and pasted it around my spaceship hull. The ship quickly started to look like an insect-thingy and I really started to like it.
So i started a quick Googlesearch for Butterfly in different languages for the spaceships name. -> Papillon

Behind the Scenes - Build-/Thought Process
Sketching the Hull started in a Superflatworld
As the Hull is taking Shape I transferred the build into a void world
"The Valley of Wings" I designed 16 different wings and decided on 4 final ones to paste on the hull
The patterns on the bottom were inspired by toycars.
Yes I did search through my old toys and checked the bottoms of the cars!
I wanted that the ship is able deploy Mechs just like in Starbound but i was not quite satisfied with my Mech-Design. In the end the Mechs stayed becaus the Idea of shooting out Mechs to support in battle was just too cool :D
I did barely touch the interior but time is always against you. I wanted to make really detailed consoles and display with maps and add Command-Blocks for the doors/air-locks and elevators.
