Tar Valon is a fictional city made up by writer Robert Jordan. In his best-selling series, The Wheel of Time, Jordan describes a beautiful city, with shiny white walls, on an island in the middle of a river. In the center of the city there is a huge White Tower, where the Aes Sedai live. The Aes Sedai are a group of women who have the ability to work magic.
I've been wanting to build something out of The Wheel of Time for a long time, but I didn't quite know what. After many hours of internet research, I found that Tar Valon was the most popular city in the series, and that there are many concept arts on the internet about the city, giving me something to work with. The project is a huge one, easily the biggest I have ever undertaken, and I'm eager to begin!
