The Thames Class Coast Guard Cutter is a small vessel capable of shoreline and harbor duties. Equipped with three high pressure nozzles and onboard pumps, it is able to effectively fight fires on both ships and shoreside structures. It comes with four high intensity spotlights and a flare launcher to illuminate search areas during nighttime operations. It also supports a small deployable boat to assist in boarding actions or to allow limited staff such as paramedics to reach critical situations faster. Although it is not large enough to support helicopters, its advanced array of sensors and communication equipment allows the ship to direct and assist in mission critical air operations. Its water jet propulsion allows the ship to be extremely maneuverable and save space on hardware by using pre-existing pumping equipment used to supply the firefighting nozzles.
