The Cathedral of Saint John the Divine - NYC

***UPDATE*** - October 12, 2017:
I've made a few small changes to the actual cathedral. They include small changes to the top of the south tower, new lighting in the triforium level, and got rid of a few staircases in the north/south nave aisles to more accurately depict the cathedral in real life. Actual floor plan of the cathedral in real life is in the image gallery.

***UPDATE - Jan 21st, 2016*** - I reconstructed the nave vaulted ceilings, side aisle vaulted ceilings, new buttresses, added hanging lights from the nave aisles, rewired the redstone lamp network running underneath the nave floor. I also replaced the nave and aisle stained glass windows. The new redstone wiring adds two new switches to operate the floor lighting for the nave AISLE lighting. The main nave lighting is on a different network and switch all together. This adds more flexible lighting to different parts of the cathedral. This is my build of the famous Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in New York City. It is about 85-90% complete and I have to finish the 7 Chapel of Tounges around the east apse. The cathedral is not to scale in Minecraft due to the poor planning on my end, but also because of the sheer size of the building which required a lot of space to fit everything in.The cathedral features: A fully complete walkable triforium level, A walkable clerestory level at the level of the stained glass windows, A small, discrete walkway above the highest windows around the eastern apse of the choir, Secret staircases in the inner-most nave aisle (3 doors on either side), Two main staircases at the West end of the nave, Fully detailed vaulted ceiling, A complete central dome (with much accuracy as possible), Fully functional Redstone lighting which light up the nave, nave aisle, each individual bay/column, the great choir organ chambers and vaulted ceiling and great choir/apse floor, Detailed exterior designed to look exactly like the real building, Day/Night operated exterior lights to keep out mobs and hostiles, The light switches for the cathedral are located at the West end nave, the bottom of each column in the nave, either side of the crossing and the side aisle of the choir located at the staircase to the choir stalls. They are all labeled and should be easy to find.
