The Phoenix (Saber class starship)

This is a space vessel originally designed and constructed by me beginning late April, 2011. It is the third of (currently) six original, unique starship designs. Since its completion sometime around late July, 2011, it has undergone countless revisions, and served as the spawn point on three different maps on my SMP server. The Phoenix is the latest Saber class ship, but even today it undergoes continuous improvement.
To construct the original, a section of the main fuselage was built manually, and extended with MCEdit. All further work was done manually in game. Additionally, the original version did not have rounded ends. Both that, and the diamond hull plating were added after completion. It has six decks, five of which are five blocks thick (ceiling, 3 blocks air, floor). The ship contains many rooms one might find on an actual starship. An observation deck, a command center, living quarters, a library, an engine room, an arboretum, a basic holodeck, a cargo bay, and a lobby are a few of the internal compartments. The ship is entirely without armaments.
The hull is comprised of iron blocks on the inside, and diamond blocks on the outside. This may not (initially) look as nice as a stone/double half step construction, but I was aiming for materialistic realism over looks. The iron representing a metal alloy, the diamond representing a hardened carbon-based armor/hull plating, and the emerald/lapis representing hull paint.
The Saber wasn't originally designed to be a SMP spawn, but that turned out to be the ship's primary role. To that end, I put a currency-based item shop in the observation deck, helpful information near the spawn in the lobby, and multiple world portals throughout the ship
I use a customized Painterly Pack by Rhodox exclusively as my texture pack.
I have not posted the details to my server because it is a 16 player non-whitelisted server, and I have no desire for griefers or floods of players. If, however, you want to visit, PM me.
If you want to use this ship for any public purpose (i.e. SMP spawn, YouTube, or anywhere other people might look at it), do so with a mainly unmodified version and please give me credit for it.

Additional Notes
The main reactor is comprised of illegally placed portalblock (90), and lava. This combination can be easily damaged by block updates.I use a customized Painterly Pack by Rhodox exclusively as my texture pack.
