Valiant-class | Star Trek [non-canon]
ATTENTION! - When pasting schematic, it will not appear in world for a varying length of time. This length will vary depending on your computer's hardware. You will still be able to freely move around whilst it is loading. This project makes use of the Enterprise texture pack by HamsterJetCar (which is included).
The Valiant-class delivers the bleeding edge of starship technologies to the final frontier in Starfleet's indoctrinated replacement to the Defender-class. The first ship, the Valiant itself, was laid down in 2179 but was put into mothballs following the completion of its primary hull in 2182 as problems arose surrounding the third iteration of the supercooled warp core and an indecisiveness about the maximum speed of the vessel. In 2184, construction resumed following the increasing number of worlds joining the Federation and the inability of both the Defender and Vanguard class' to safeguard Federation assets against hostile actions. In 2185, the Admiralty declared that for each Valiant commissioned, an existing Defender-class vessel would be retired and its crew transferred and supplemented with new academy graduates. The Valiant itself was completed in 2186 with subsequent starships entering active duty in mid 2189 and beyond. The supercooled warp core is supplemented by 2 large reactors spanning vertically through 3 decks as well as 2 smaller reactors and battery arrays. Starships of this class were given the latest in weaponry and defensive technology including the ability to externally reload torpedoes from an armament resupply vessel via a hatch located at the rear of the torpedo control room.
