  • This doesn't feel quite nostalgic enough.

  • What is this, and why is it small?

  This is a rip of a minecraft tutorial world from xbox 360 turned into a MCTemplate, and the Xbox tutorial world's actually we're that small. Minecraft bedrock just kind of fills the rest of existence.


  • What is a map template?:

  A map template is a map with an manifest.json file that allows it to be loaded as a pre-built map similar to how it was originally. I.E: When you wanted to play the tutorial map, you'd click tutorial and it'd make a new world using the pre-made map, allowing an unlimited amount of tutorial levels.

  • How do I get this in my game?

  Stupidly, this site doesn't let me upload .mctemplate files. So you'll just have to do it. Sorry.
  • Go to the .zip file and change .zip to .mctemplate. After, it should look something like: "tutone.mctemplate," instead of" "tutone.zip."
  • Open that file. If all goes well, and it should, minecraft bedrock will open and install the map.
  • Enjoy the Nostalgia.

  Sorry, but this map is not usable in Java Edition. You'll have to find a different resource, or somehow transform it.


  • Does this map have any bugs?:

  I don't actually know. Probably? I mean, there's a reason a new Minecraft game for consoles came out instead of updating the originals.

  • What's with the "TU#"

  There is more than one tutorial map, as you may know. The TU# is to display which revision of the map it is.

  • How did you make a template?

  It's hard to explain, so here's what to do:

  • Go to the file you've downloaded.
  • change the .mctemplate extension to .zip.
  • take a look at the manifest, preferrably in visual studio or VSCode.
  • If you're trying to make your own, probably copy the manifest to your map, and change the name, description, and the uuids.
  • You can test it by doing step two backwards, (after zipping your map), or keeping your map in this folder: C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\world_templates\
