Yokosuka MXY-7 Ohka

1:1 scale of the Yokosuka MXY-7 Ohka, first one is a model 11 from Kawaguchiko Motor Museum, Yamanashi, Japan. The second one is a model 22 from National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, Virginia, USA

About the plane:
櫻花 (Cherry Blossom)

The Yokosuka MXY-7 Ohka (櫻花, Ōka, "cherry blossom"; 桜花 in modern orthography) is a purpose-built, rocket-powered human-guided kamikaze attack aircraft[1] employed by Japan against Allied ships towards the end of the Pacific War during World War II. Although extremely fast, the very short range of the Ohka meant that it had to be carried into action as a parasite aircraft by a much larger bomber, which was itself vulnerable to carrier-borne fighters. In action during the Battle of Okinawa in 1945, Ohkas were able to sink or damage some escort vessels and transport ships but no major warships were ever sunk. Improved versions which attempted to overcome the aircraft's shortcomings were developed too late to be deployed. Allied troops referred to the aircraft as "Baka Bombs".[2]
  • Length: 6.066 m (19 ft 11 in)
  • Wingspan: 5.12 m (16 ft 10 in)
  • Height: 1.16 m (3 ft 10 in)
Note:
11th aircraft! This one is quite different than the previous ones because it's more of a missile than an aircraft. The profile of this aircraft is very small and is quite easy to replicate for me in minecraft. Again, this is an old model, I actually have one more version of this aircraft, and it's the first ever build I've made in minecraft! Maybe I'll show it sometime in the future when I'm running out of content to upload.. Like always, thank you for visiting! Matane!!
