Ebony Instead (Acacia Reskin)
Recently I saw an image similar to this one, and it made me want to have it in Minecraft. I had no idea ebony wood could grow in such distinct layers!
I looked up an ebony tree, and so on and so forth until I ended up making a resource pack that turns Acacia wood into Ebony wood. Acacia wood is my least favorite already, and its shape and bark color already closely match ebony trees, so it was a fine swap. The black wood looks really nice, but the signs were illegible, so I added white-washed panels to both the sign and boat models (for stylistic cohesion or something, it looks nice).
There is a custom lang/en_us file for changing the inventory names of the items, which you can remove if you need to for whatever reason.
