Minecraft Music - Revised
Introduction
I've played Minecraft since June 15th, 2011. What makes me love this game so much is how C418's soundtrack perfectly encapsulates the experience and makes it unique each time. He made this masterpiece almost completely by accident, not even trying to make something perfect, but something that works. Many players and I share a common nostalgia, and thus common feelings, with this soundtrack.
While Minecraft's new music by Lena Raine and other artists is actually quite nice and I don't think any of us is saying it's bad, some of us tend to prefer the old soundtrack. That's why I've taken the time to make this. It does not remove Lena Raine's soundtrack, but rather makes it so the style in which Minecraft's soundtrack is played, stays the way it has always been: Not specifically catered to an in-game situation outside of special scenarios such as different dimensions or the ender dragon fight.
Explanation
Lena's songs can play (with added "weight", meaning they play more often) in the new biomes, and only in those new biomes. Minecraft is about creation, new experiences. Re-creating the same experience for the same area is not something that belongs in this game, even if it works well in other games such as Terraria, Valheim, Subnautica, TerraTech, etc.
Almost all places will play Minecraft's old Alpha - Beta volume soundtracks, but due to the nature in which they're implemented, some of Lena's songs will not show up. I.E. the cave biomes and such.
This may have been out of personal preference or because they feel like they fit the game and ambience well, but I kept "Rubedo" in the Nether, and I kept "Ancestry" for the Deep Dark. There may be other outliers, but that's pretty much what I did. I also toyed with what plays in the End as well. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to comment and let me know!
