Are you tired of Minecraft's thick and large default font?
By default, each character of Minecraft is designed in an 8 by 8 grid. Therefore, they look thick and large.
When in Minecraft: Java Edition 1.12.2 and below (language is set to Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.), or in 1.13 and above and "Force Unicode Font" is enabled, all text will be displayed in Unicode font.
The characters in each Unicode Font are designed in a 16 by 16 grid, so they look thin.
In Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, if a sentence contains non-ASCII characters such as Chinese characters, Japanese kana, and Greek letters, all characters will use Unicode fonts. This also leads to the problem of inconsistent fonts in different situations.
Therefore, I made a resource pack that allows you to see more beautiful, smooth, and modern fonts in Minecraft:
● HD Version (The font is taken from the Noto Sans font family commissioned by Google):
● Basic Version (The font is taken from the WenQuanYi Micro Hei (文泉驿微米黑) font family developed by WenQuanYi Project Contributors (「文泉驿」开发小组)):
In Bedrock Edition, the problem of inconsistent fonts in different situations is also solved.
As Chinese characters have different standards in different countries or regions, as well as different screen resolutions, six versions have been specially designed, namely Chinese version, Taiwanese version, Hong Kong version, Japanese version, Korean version and Basic version.
Please observe the following picture carefully, and you will find some differences in the writing of some characters:
The format of the resource pack file name is "modern_font_pack_Platform_RegionOrBasic_vNumber.zip", where:
1. Platform field:
● "je" means that the resource pack is suitable for Java Edition.
● "be" means that the resource pack is suitable for Bedrock Edition.
2. RegionOrBasic field:
● "cn" represents that the resource pack is designed for high-resolution displays (HD version) and the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard of China.
● "hk" represents that the resource pack is designed for high-resolution displays (HD version) and the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard of Hong Kong.
● "jp" represents that the resource pack is designed for high-resolution displays (HD version) and the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard of Japan.
● "kr" represents that the resource pack is designed for high-resolution displays (HD version) and the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard of Korean.
● "tw" represents that the resource pack is designed for high-resolution displays (HD version) and the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard of Taiwan.
● "basic" represents that the resource pack is designed for low-resolution displays (Basic version) and the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard of China.
3. The Number field will be represented by three digits:
● In Java Edition, the first digit is used to distinguish the pack formats of different resource pack. The second and third digits start from 00. Every time it is updated, the number will increase by 1:
● The first digit 1 means that the resource pack is suitable for versions 1.6.1 (13w24a) to 1.8.9.
● The first digit 2 means that the resource pack is suitable for versions 1.9 (15w31a) to 1.10.2.
● The first digit 3 means that the resource pack is suitable for versions 1.11 (16w32a) to 1.12.2 (17w47b).
● The first digit 4 means that the resource pack is suitable for versions 1.13 (17w48a) to 1.14.4 (19w46b).
● The first digit 5 means that the resource pack is suitable for versions 1.15 (1.15-pre1) to 1.16.1 (1.16.2-pre3).
● The first digit 6 means that the resource pack is suitable for versions 1.16.2 (1.16.2-rc1) to 1.16.5.
● The first digit 7 means that the resource pack is suitable for version 1.17 (20w45a and above) and above.
● In Bedrock Edition, it starts directly from 100, and the number will increase by 1 every time it is updated.
For example:
1. If you want to use the resource pack that is designed for high-resolution displays, can be used in Java Edition, version 1.16.5, and the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard of Taiwan, the file to be downloaded is "modern_font_pack_je_tw_v603.zip".
2. If you want to use the resource pack that is designed for high-resolution displays, can be used in Java Edition, version 1.12.2, and the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard of Hong Kong, the file to be downloaded is "modern_font_pack_je_hk_v303.zip".
3. If you want to use the resource pack that is designed for high-resolution displays, can be used in Bedrock Edition, and the Chinese characters are designed according to the Chinese character standard of China, the file to be downloaded is "modern_font_pack_be_cn_v103.zip".
4. If you want to use the resource pack that is designed for low-resolution displays and can be used in Java Edition, version 1.17.1, the file to be downloaded is "modern_font_pack_je_basic_v703.zip".
5. If you want to use the resource pack that is designed for low-resolution displays and can be used in Bedrock Edition, the file to be downloaded is "modern_font_pack_be_basic_v103.zip".
If you are using a high-resolution display and your country or region does not use Chinese characters, you do not need to pay attention to whether the RegionOrBasic field is "cn", "hk", "jp", "kr" or "tw", as long as it is not "basic". You also need to pay attention to the Platform field and the Number field.
Supported version:

Known Issues:
1. Bold text may be displayed abnormally, and it looks like two texts overlap each other. This can be fixed by installing OptiFine. It can also be fixed by enabling "Force Unicode Font" without installing OptiFine. However, this will not work if you are using the HD version in version 1.13 or above.
2. Because of issue MC-154088, the font display will become bold and rough in some places. This happens in version 1.14.4 and below. However, this problem is not obvious if you are using the HD version.
3. If you apply this resource pack in version 1.10.2 or below, the font display will be abnormal and you need to restart Minecraft to return to normal. This is because of issue MC-41270.
Installation:
Before downloading, you need to pay attention to:
1. If your screen width is less than 1280 pixels (Bedrock Edition: 1152 pixels) or the height is less than 960 pixels (Bedrock Edition: 768 pixels), it is recommended to install the Basic version for better results.
2. If your screen width is greater than 1280 pixels (Bedrock Edition: 1152 pixels) and the height is greater than 960 pixels (Bedrock Edition: 768 pixels), feel free to install the HD version and enable Full Screen Mode for better results.
If you are playing Minecraft: Java Edition, please follow the steps below to install the Resource Pack:

2. Load it into your Minecraft: Java Edition.
3. Go to Options -> Resource Packs, and then apply it.
