Romecraft II: Mithridatum
Introducing the Next Chapter of Ancient Roman History
Hello fellow Minecrafters! Or as we would say in Romecraft: Salve Amicis!
I am thrilled to unveil a brand new resource pack that I've been working on, designed to pay homage to the incredible textures developed by our community's founder, Stugace. As the title would suggest, Mithridatum is the latest installation in a long series of Roman themed servers and resource packs that immerses players in the ancient/classical world. As a member of this vibrant community, I've always admired the contributions and impact that Romecraft had on me. However, as the game evolved, I realized it was important to keep our textures up to date and aligned with the latest advancements. That's where Romecraft II comes in.
This pack aims to replace and update the wonderful textures and resources developed by members of our community, and I want to ensure that they continue to shine even in the present Minecraft scene (credits listed below). In addition to updating the textures, I have also taken into account the feedback and suggestions from our incredible community and will continue to implement various improvements, ensuring that players are given a balanced and visually pleasing experience.
Romecraft II: Mithridatum includes a meticulous blend of new and refined textures, carefully crafted to seamlessly blend with the existing blocks, items, and entities. Every detail is considered to maintain a cohesive and immersive experience, while also offering a fresh take on the visuals we all love. The texture resolution ranges from 16x16 to 2048x2048 (with larger models), meaning that there is a playful mix between detailed resolutions and simple pixel art, and the resource pack utilizes the latest version of Optifine (1.20.1) with nbt.data tags that immediately elevates your Minecraft experience.
A CIT Keyword Guide is included with the pack and lists most of the weapon and armor variations used in Romecraft II. You can navigate to .minecraft>assets>minecraft>optifine>CIT and see what items are available there because the list is quite long. I might get around to completing an entire keyword list, but this will take some time I don't have currently.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to the creators for their pioneering work and the inspiration they have given. Their legacy will be forever cherished within our community, and it is my hope that Mithridatum can serve as a worthy continuation of their vision. So if you love the textures and want to see even more updates on Romecraft's upcoming server, you can give us a follow on PMC or on our Instagram at @Romecraft_Community!
With that said, may your builds be grand and your adventures even more!
