Visual Enchantment Gems

is a resource pack that was created with one goal in mind:

keep equipment organized and easily recognizable.

This pack will put a colored gem on any tool/armor
piece that has been enchanted with what I'll call a
mutually exclusive enchantment.

Only one mutually exclusive enchantment may be on
any given tool or armor piece at the same time.
(Axes and Boots being exceptions to the rule)

Enchantment Chart

This chart shows which enchantments are supported, what equipment they belong to, and what color gem will represent each enchantment.

What does this do to the enchantment glint?

There is still an enchantment glint when you use this texture pack!
However, it's not the original.

The Vanilla glint is swapped out for a less obtrusive glint.
This is so the colors of the enchantment gems will not be constantly obscured by purple and enchanted gear that does not have any gems will still get to have an enchantment glint.

Which book texture will be used if the book has more than one enchantment?

The book texture that is displayed is based on these groups in the order listed:

1. Curses

2. Mutually Exclusive Enchantments (Books with gems)

3. The General category (Books with the original red ribbon)

4. All other book categories

Should there be more than one enchantment from one of the groups listed above,

the texture is selected in alphabetical order.

Examples:

You have a book that is enchanted with Silk Touch, Luck of the Sea, Flame, and Curse of Vanishing.
For this book, the highest group present is group 1 with Curse of Vanishing--Curse of Vanishing would be selected resulting in a black cover with the original red ribbon.

Next, if the book is enchanted with Silk Touch, Luck of the Sea, and Flame, and Curse of Vanishing the highest group present is group 2 with Silk Touch being mutually exclusive--the texture for Silk Touch will be chosen resulting in a black ribbon and a light blue gem.

Finally, let's say the book has only Silk Touch, Luck of the Sea and Flame. , and Curse of Vanishing.
For this book, the highest group present is group 4 with both Luck of the Sea and Flame. Because they are from the same group, the enchantment selected will be Flame through alphabetical order--resulting in a yellow ribbon.
