With Applied Energistics 2 and its addons you don't have to worry about storage of any kind, be it fluids, items or gasses. Did I say gasses? Yes, I did and that means that Mekanism is here for those who need that extra out of ores that you got from your quarry in the Nether, RFtools dimension, Overworld or Aroma1997's dimensional world. If you are more to explore then there are Biome's O' Plenty and The Twilight Forest. If Tech isn't your strongest point then we have magic for you, with Roots become one with nature and Botania is also close to being one with nature, if you are more to split up everything its essence then there is Thaumcraft and as a bonus, you can store it in a ME system.
