I remember reading from somewhere, I don't quite remember where, that you couldn't make a floor of up facing pistons and expect all of them to work at the flick of a single switch.
I though about this. I thought and thought and decided: Screw you, I am going to try anyways!
And that's what this is.
Features:
It's not the best, barely innovative, and frankly, someone else might have already though of this (although a brief search of PMC turned up nothing). But it works! And that's all that matters! Enjoy!

All pistons respond to one Lever.

Shiny Indicator Light.

Symmetric, expandable design.

The maximum Length is (theoretically) Infinite.

The Width must be an odd number.

The Width is limited by the world height.

Wider designs get REALLY tall REALLY fast. (As illustrated)

Not compact at all.
