Heres the second part which is kind of glitchy, but no matter. The design may seem to be terrible, but you can add several floors ontop of it and thats when it gets REALLY useful. Basically you hit a lever, and water is removed so the sugar cane blocks break. You can personally install a water-dropper-chest system which isn't in this design, but its in a sepereate picture which you can install yourself.

TIP* (this is only if you didn't install the auto water-dropper-chest system)If the Sugar Cane is glitching and standing, DO NOT FEAR! Walking on the block will make the item fall. YES this requires replanting but without the auto-collect its nice for farming mcmmo.
