Merkava Mk 4 Main Battle Tank
Hello,
this is a main battle tank used by the Israel Defense Forces.
The engine sits in the front so soldiers can enter the tank from the rear. This lets the tank act as a kind of troop carrier or forward command and control station. The engine is intended to be another piece of armor that protects the crew from incoming shells.
