You can rename any piece of armor (except leather armor and the turtle helmet) in an anvil to ''amethyst armor'' will change the texture of the item and model.
Example: renaming ''Iron Chestplate'' to ''Amethyst Chestplate'' will give you the amethyst chestplate model and item texture.
