ANIME GIRL TOTEM
Unfortunately for all of you, I'm back. I wanted to make this resource pack for a while, since it's a cute girl, so I did it today. I used Ibispaint to make it. I normally work with a 700x700 canvas, so I was able to round it down to 512 pixels freely.
I'm sorry for the lack of 16x resource packs lately; right now I am messing with glazed terracotta, so I will be back shortly.
I forgot to do the lineart for this drawing, so the actual lines of the girl is the sketch I made. I was lazy today, which is why she is somewhat poorly drawn. I could have made the face more expressive, perhaps a tsundere or seducing look, but this week I am suffering from 'same-face syndrome.'
When I first designed this gijinka, her hair looked too much like Hitori from Bocchi the Rock, so I changed it. The silhouette of the totem is smooth, so I made her hair more round. I changed the 'eyebrows' of the totem to her bangs. When I look at the totem, it looks like a villager with his arms out, not a villager with wings, but I gave her some wings anyway.
I knew that I wanted to put more emerald motifs into the drawing. When I was originally designing her, the image I had in mind was an older, mature woman, perhaps a goddess who was trapped inside of the totem. I had also wanted to give her villager features, like a larger nose and perhaps a cool robe. But I made the girl too cute, and I drew a chibi instead. Looking back, I probably should have given her a headpiece, like a crown, instead of the cute bead ponytail. It would have helped the silhouette, too.
I looked at a lot of images of Minecraft gijinka, and noticed that there were many mob girls but no totem girls, so I mostly did this by myself. I think that she's very cute. I will likely draw her again in the future!
